Run for the Rivers 5k

  •      WHAT: Formerly known as the Waterfest 5k, Run for the Rivers is back this year to cool you of with waterslides, super soakers, water balloons, and pretty much all good things having to do with water.

         WHY: Because a finish line needs a big water slide every once in a while!

         DATE: Saturday, July 25, 2015 @ 8:00 AM; 1 Mile @ 9 AM

         ADDRESS: Ridge Ferry Park, 363 Riverside Dr SE, Rome, GA 30161


  • Awards
  •           Overall: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Male and Female athletes.

              Masters: 1st Male and Female (40 yrs +).

              Age Group: The first male/female finishers in each age group:

                    0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+

              *While there will be no awards given for the 1 mile, it will be timed.

      *If you place in an Overall Division (Overall, Masters, or Grand Masters), you will be removed from eligibility to win a medal in your Age Division (no double dipping).
      *Note that the awards are based on a gun start (everyone has the same starting time) with chip-timed finish. In other words, the first person to cross the finish line wins!

  •           Short Sleeve “Run for the Rivers T-Shirt” You can wash it via waterslide…

  • Registration
  •           $20 through 7/11/15

              $25 – 7/12/15 through 7/24/15

              $30 – Race Day (July 25th)
    * $5 less per price phase for the 1 Mile Fun Run
    *Packet Pick-up on Race Day or on 7/24 from 10am – 7pm at GoGo Running (717 E 2nd Ave)
