- First, he is an amazing coach of the top athletes in the world (a lot of the top Kenyans).
- Secondly, he has spirit of belief in people and in the fact that proper training can make good athletes great athletes.
- Thirdly, and maybe most impressive, is very willing to help anyone with their training. I think this is a quality that I am trying to develop even better in my own coaching. He was willing to get up at 5:30am in the morning to meet me for a discussion on proper training when I was at the Super Distance Summit, where he was speaking, in 2010.
Renato knows that I have adopted his philosophy and is helping me refine my approach to training and coaching. In my opinion he is the greatest coach in the world!
